    Questions

    From the category and city, the scan builds 20 to 40 questions. The default is 24. They include “near me” wording, feature-specific asks, and comparison asks. The same list is used for every engine so the engines can be compared.

    Engines, more than once

    ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, and Claude each answer the full list. Google AI Overviews is coming soon. The default is two runs per engine. If a key is missing, that engine is skipped. If none are configured, a simulator answers and the report says so. A daily spend cap can stop further calls. A skipped run is not counted as “not named.” When a website is entered, the scan also reads robots.txt for blocks on GPTBot, OAI-SearchBot, ChatGPT-User, PerplexityBot, ClaudeBot, and Google-Extended.

    Score

    Each scored answer contributes a weight by position. First name is 1, second is 0.7, third is 0.45, fourth is 0.3, fifth or later is 0.2. Not named is 0. The visibility score is the average weight times 100, rounded. Failed parses are left out of the average and listed in the notes.

    Fix list

    The first list is proposed. You approve it. Later lists can run on autopilot, or you can switch the account to approve each change. Approval is of the checklist. NearbyPick does not edit Google, Bing, or Apple listings. The work is yours: match name, address, phone, hours, and category; publish FAQ answers for questions that missed you; add a page for the category and city; ask recent customers for a specific review. Google Business Profile API access is pending. The other listing checks are stubs.

  5. 05

    Weekly and monthly

    A trial with no card lasts 14 days. On day 14, if you have not paid, the account pauses. Data from that pause is kept 30 days. Accounts in a trial or an active subscription are scanned on Mondays, up to a per-run limit so a cron invocation can finish. Autopilot accounts also get a weekly summary email. On the first of the month, one email shows the latest score beside a scan at least 21 days older, per location. No earlier scan means a blank “before” column.
